A palette full of colors

One of the best things that I bought after moving to Singapore was the Nikon D3100 DSLR camera. Its multitude of features aside, what simply blew me away was the manner in which it could capture the colors of nature- the orange of sundown, the purple of twilight, the aquamarine of the Pacific, the grey of distant mountains, the verdant green of lovely hills, the bright hues of ancient mosques and the resplendent white of cumulo-nimbus clouds-all a delight for the artist to behold.

Sunset hues captured on the Klias River in Kota Kinabalu, Borneo.

Twilight in Borobudur, Java, famous for being the largest Buddhist monastry in the world.

Green, green.......James Bond island near Krabi, Thailand.

Long tailed boats docked in white sand beach that has lit up the water from within.

Corals emerge in low tide, Maya Bay, Krabi, Thailand.

Resembles a watercolor, isn't it? Defines what one has always read as aquamarine.
.

The various shades of grey. And mountains galore!! A perfect picture in perspective.

Alishan mountains, Taiwan.

Sea cliffs, Ulu Watu, Bali, Indonesia.

 Phi phi don, Thailand.

Captured during the train journey from Yogyakarta to Bandung, Java, Indonesia.

Green, the color of rice paddies......
Bandung, Java.

Then there's also the beauty of reflected light. Of sunbeams piercing the canopy of trees, bringing every leaf to life, of sunshine amidst rain that turns everything luminiscent, and twilight rippling off the surface of lakes......creating poetry in motion.

Sunrise in Mount Alishan, Taiwan.

Sunrise over Taiwan: view from the airplane

Early morning light over two Sisters Pond, Mt Alishan, Taiwan.

Sunset on Klias River, Borneo.

Sunlight bouncing off the slopes of
Mount Alishan, Taiwan.

Domas Crater, Bandung, Java.

Mt. Batur, Bali, enveloped in fog after heavy rain.

In the crack where illusion meets reality, mountains embrace the sky, shores gently lap on the shores, and twilight melts into dusk.......thats where existence transcends into life.
